A flexible configuration for a high-energy phase-contrast imaging beamline involving in-line focusing crystal optics

We discuss a new optical configuration for a hard X-ray imaging beamline that allows one to obtain a secondary source of variable size by using two asymmetrically cut bent silicon crystals in Laue geometry. A feature of this set-up is that radiation from the secondary source propagates parallel to the direction of the incident radiation.
